2009′un ilk fotoları

1 Ocak 2009 tarihinde ilk kez bir palaroyd fotoğraf çektim. Polarayd zevkli bir şey… ama çok da değil. Belki de ilk çektiğim poloroyt ultrason berraklığında çıktığı için böyle hissettim. Sakallarından seçebildiğim kadarıyla nurtopu gibi bir havyer bardemimiz olacak GİBİ GİBİ. Javier Bardem demişken… kendisini en güzel şekilde ağırlayacağımı düşünüyorum. Eheh, mrb.

Scanner’ımın bozukluğu beni böyle artistliklere sevkediyor.

2009′a yine vapur fotoğrafları damgasını vuracak gibi…… HAHAHAHAHAHA

In February, Charlotte came to Istanbul.

In March, spring came to Istanbul.

“If your pictures aren’t good enough, you… may need to leave the apartment first” is what Robert Capa would have to say about this pathetic taking-photos-from-the-apartment-window genre, which I’d humbly like to think that I invented. (Yes, by all means please post a zillion better and older and famous photos taken from apartment windows in reply, just to remind me once again that I invented nothing. But know this, you’re mean.)

Apologies to photography, already the laziest art. I should have tried harder.

The following photo could provide some motivation:

My maternal grandfather’s family (and mine of course) in 1939. Kudos to the photographer for getting only half of my great-uncle in the frame. My mother’s father on the right, clinging to my great-grandfather. I have  so much to say but I’m scared of sounding like I take credit of their story. Maybe if I title it  “Turkish peasants circa 1939″, I’ll neutralize it for you (and myself) slightly.
